Glorafilia Tartan

£90.00

One of the first things that people identify with Scotland is Tartan. The earliest evidence of tartan dates back to 250 AD, when a fragment was found in Falkirk, Scotland. While woven tartans were made in ancient times, each clan having their own tartan is relatively new and is thought to have begun in the early 1800’s. It was Queen Victoria who first used tartan as a decorating accessory at Balmoral Castle.

Easy to stitch in tent stitch in romantic rose pinks and almond greens with a touch of cornflower blue, unusual colours for tartan, a perfect partner with our William Morris Lily Rose Pink.
