The Bayeux Tapestry Needlepoint Bag
£120.00
The Bayeux tapestry, depicting the Battle of Hastings or The Norman Conquest 1066, is shrouded in mystery. It isn’t actually a tapestry it’s an embroidery. No one knows for certain where it was stitched, although probably in Canterbury, England, and who stitched it, maybe nuns, and who it was for – The Notre Dame in Bayeux, Normandy? The tapestry will be on shown in England for the first time since it was stitched, at a blockbuster exhibition at The British Museum from September 2026. It is one of the world’s great masterpieces telling the story of the triumph of William The Conqueror and the tragedy of Harold King of England.
Each design is crafted with exceptional detail, premium materials and timeless style, perfect for those who appreciate heritage and craftsmanship.
