The Blue Vase

£85.00

For Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell, sister of Virginia Woolf, and a medley of others, well known and less well known, Bloomsbury Life revolved around Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex.

Charleston epitomises one of those glorious inbred follies that the British do so well. Almost every likely and unlikely surface is painted, blobbed, squiggled, not always perfectly, but it is one of the most charming places to visit.

The design of The Blue Vase was inspired by a needlepoint wall hanging designed by Duncan Grant of the Bloomsbury Set and stitched by his mother, Ethel.

Finished size:
42 x 42cm (16.5 x 16.5”)

Kit contains:
A colour printed 12 count canvas, enough Anchor tapisserie wool to complete the design, a needle and easy to follow instructions, all in a black glossy gift bag.
