Arts & Crafts White Peacocks

£80.00

The design was inspired by a scrap of wallpaper created by 19th century decorative artist, Eugene Grasse, who was a pioneer in the Art Nouveau movement.  His majestic yet simply–drawn peacocks, made an ideal subject but required careful amendments to sit comfortably in a square cushion – they do not fit naturally into a square shape!!.  Combined with influences from William Morris’s Willow Bough and Flowerpot designs and a similar colour palette imagined by Frederick Rhead, Arts & Crafts White Peacocks was created to accompany Glorafilia’s popular Arts & Crafts Swans and Flamingos cushions.
